How English Media Reacted To Jasprit Bumrah's Vizag Heroics

India's marquee pacer Jasprit Bumrah arose as the biggest star in the second Test against England, bamboozling Ben Stokes and his men with his tricky bowling. His stumps-shattering yorker to Ollie Pope in the first innings made headlines all across the globe. After bagging 6 wickets in the first innings, Bumrah returned to bag three in the second, in times when India were in desperate need of breaking partnerships. Seeing Bumrah rise the highest on spin-friendly Indian wickets, even the English media couldn't help but stand up and extol his prowess.

Be it India's captain Rohit Sharma or England skipper Ben Stokes, none of them could resist doffing their hat to Bumrah who arguably remains the most consistent pacer in the world across the three formats.

Bumrah's entry into the Indian team might have been through T20 cricket but the pacer has honed his skills meticulously to arguably deliver the biggest performances of his career in the red-ball format.

Even the English media hailed how the pacer learned his skills alongside the iconic Lasith Malinga at Mumbai Indians but is now dismantling opponents wearing the whites of the Indian team.

How English media reacted to Jasprit Bumrah's Vizag show:

The Telegraph: T20 cricket has created the world's best Test bowler in Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah learnt his trade alongside Lasith Malinga, and has been using his white-ball skills to devastating effect in Test cricket.

BBC: England face Johnson-like Bumrah conundrum next time 4 am alarm sounds.

Independent UK: Bumrah is a giant of the game and arguably the greatest seamer India have produced since the days of uncovered wickets. Seam bowling itself is an art, and it is harder still to produce magic on Indian pitches.

The Daily Mail: As it was this mountain was too big to climb, with the majestic Jasprit Bumrah adding another three wickets to his world-class, second Test-defining six-wicket burst of reverse swing.
