Police failed to assess the magnitude of problem in time: Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on riots

Forty-two lives have been lost so far and over 250 injured in the violence that started with stone-pelting at Maujpur Chowk in Jafarabad area between pro- and anti- Citizenship (Amendment) Act protesters on Sunday and later escalated to communal clashes in several parts of the northeast Delhi constituency represented in Lok Sabha by BJP leader Manoj Tiwari.
