Aadhaar As ID Proof For Bank Accounts, SIM: Cabinet Approves Ordinance

The Cabinet tonight approved the promulgation of an Ordinance or executive order to allow voluntary use of Aadhaar as identity proof for opening bank account and procuring mobile phone connection.
