"Learn How To Talk": Employee Calls Out Boss's Toxic Traits In Last Email

Unrealistic goals, excessive workload and passive-aggressive behaviour are among the many factors that make a workplace environment toxic. And what came as a bold move against such culture and those who cause and further it, an employee's passionate email to her managers is viral on Reddit.

Screenshots of the email showed the employee's frustration because the managers were missing on the last day.

The email, with the subject line, “Daily target not achieved - as was busy writing the goodbye mail”, began with a greeting to the superiors. "Hope you both are well and good," before quickly taking a different tone, "Unfortunately, we didn't meet today as you are not here-strange, but I DID guess and expected this."

The employee then went on to voice her frustration with the managers' leadership styles, claiming that working with them was like "going through the 3rd class torture." The person, whose mail initials are BD, described the work environment as "HITLER'S RACE", calling managers' behaviour unethical and unprofessional.

“It was not at all pleasurable for me to work with you,” the email read.

The employee went on to detail specific instances of being mistreated – like being asked to "stay back after every team huddle-then shouting at me/mailing me/tagging me/nagging me-no stone left unturned."

The email detailed how the employee was addressed in team huddles as "those who are on their notice period" and subjected to rude and arrogant behaviour, with the managers talking to them “rudely/ arrogantly/ yelling-unprofessionally and unethically TU ye/TU vo/TU ase."

She also revealed that the management would “shout and yell” at the female employees. “Learn how to talk and address females at the workplace,” the email read, adding, it was “such an unhealthy/toxic/sick work environment.” She added, "Everyone knows this that - this wasn't your first time talking to a female employee this way - I witnessed."

The employee also claimed the management accused her of provoking and influencing people. Rebuking the claims, she said, “If I would have been a good influencer/have influenced someone or PROVOKING people on the floor, then I WOULD HAVE MADE SURE that you receive more resignations on your face.”

The email, however, also contained gratitude towards supportive colleagues. It suggested that the managers should learn from these examples of kindness and support.

The employee concluded that she had enough self-respect and “can't stand the humiliation and mental sickness at the workplace. I don't like sitting at the table where respect is not served.”

Watch: Kohli Meets Arshdeep, Harpreet's Families In Heartwarming Video

A heartwarming video of Virat Kohli meeting the families of Harpreet Brar and Arshdeep Singh is going viral on social media. The meeting took place after Punjab Kings' IPL 2024 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Dharamsala on May 9. It was a do-or-die game for both sides with PBKS ending on the losing side. The result did not go in favour of the Punjab Kings and they were thus knocked out of the playoff race. However, off the field, Kohli made the day for PBKS stars Arshdeep and Harpreet by taking his time out to meet their families.

Punjab Kings shared the video on social media on Friday with fans reacting to the sweet video in huge numbers.

Watch it here:

The loss to RCB eliminated PBKS and saw the side scripting an unwanted record in IPL history. PBKS became the first-ever team in the tournament to fail to qualify for IPL playoffs in 10 consecutive editions. The side last entered the playoff in 2014 edition where they finished as runners-up after losing to Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.

"A lot of positive signs throughout the season, but not enough to get over the line, unfortunately. We knew that we had the best side for the rest of the tournament and feel gutted for the team. Got to keep our heads up, keep learning and keep becoming better," said PBKS stand-in skipper Sam Curran after the defeat to RCB.

"Really enjoyed leading a great bunch of guys, would have loved a few more wins. We had some highs, and some record run-chases as well. Lots of disappointment and apologize to the fans, we will keep fighting. The ups and downs have been quite tough, but you gotta keep learning and keep working hard," he added.

Glimpses Of Northern Lights After Strongest Solar Storm In 2 Decades

The northern lights made a stunning appearance across the world on Friday after the most powerful solar storm in more than two decades struck Earth.

The colourful display, also known as the aurora borealis, was seen in most parts of Europe.

The northern lights also illuminated the night sky over some parts of the US, Canada, and Australia.

Authorities had also notified satellite operators, airlines and the power grid to take precautionary steps for potential disruptions caused by changes to Earth's magnetic field.

Social media was also lit up with many users posting their pictures of auroras.

A user posted a picture of herself and her cat watching the beautiful view.

“I can't believe I now have a pic of me and my cat admiring the northern lights in my own garden???” she wrote.

A user from Tuscany, Italy, called it an “unbelievable moment.”

Another user, from the North West of France, posted a thread of images and said that this was the "most insane" thing she had ever seen in her life.

According to another post, the Northern Lights were visible across Russia, particularly in the Moscow region, as well as in Saratov and Voronezh, and extending into southern Siberia.

“Colour me stunned,” read a caption of someone who posted a video clip of the phenomenon.

Another observer said it was “rare to see pink in the northern lights” and claimed that those who saw this beautiful view were “very, very lucky.”

Someone else posted a couple pictures, writing, “I'm actually in tears I thought I'd never get to see the northern lights.”

A user from North Georgia joined in, sharing stunning pictures of the aurora borealis.

The northern lights are usually visible in regions located closer to the Earth's magnetic poles like Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Alaska.

No More Pollution? New Material Can Absorb, Trap Greenhouse Gases

Scientists from the UK and China have synthesised a porous material that has the capacity to shrink our carbon footprint. The material, described as "cage of cages" by researchers, can absorb common greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide with strong affinity and hold it. Describing the material, Science Alert said it is made in two steps with reactions assembling triangular prism building blocks into larger, more symmetrical tetrahedral cages. It is the first molecular structure of its kind, the outlet further said.

The material shows excellent stability in water, which makes it useful to be used in capturing carbon in industrial settings.

"This is an exciting discovery because we need new porous materials to help solve society's biggest challenges, such as capturing and storing greenhouse gasses," said Marc Little, a materials scientist at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and senior author of the study.

The study has been published in Nature Synthesis.

In laboratory tests, the cage-like material also demonstrated a high absorption rate of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), identified by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change as the most potent greenhouse gas.

While CO2 remains in the atmosphere for 5-200 years, SF6 can persist for anywhere between 600 to 3,200 years.

Currently, carbon removal strategies only eliminate about two billion tonnes per year out of an estimated requirement of 20 billion tonnes to balance our carbon emissions.

This newly discovered material could enhance direct air capture efficiency, decrease energy consumption and avert the impacts of climate change.

"We see this study as an important step towards unlocking such applications in the future," said Mr Little.

Researchers said along with greenhouse gases, the new material can also remove other toxic fumes in the air, such as those that surface inside new cars.

"Horrible, Disgusting": Internet Blasts LSG Owner Over Chat With KL Rahul

Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a display of pure aggressive batting as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma guided them to a massive 10-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024 on Wednesday. Chasing a target of 166, SRH did not lose a single wicket and completed the chase in just 9.4 overs. It was a big loss for LSG who were dealt a massive blow in their IPL 2024 playoff race. Following the match, LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka was caught on camera having a fiery chat with Rahul - something that has left the social media fuming. The video of the incident went viral and a lot of social media users were not pleased with the treatment from Goenka towards the LSG captain after the loss.

"Am lost for words. We have watched that kind of batting on tv. But this is unreal batting. Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat. Kudos to their skills. They have worked hard on their six hitting skills. They didn't give us a chance to know what the pitch played in the second innings."

"Was hard to stop them as they teed off from ball one. Once you are on the losing side, there are questions marks on the decisions taken. We were 40-50 runs short. When we lost wickets in the powerplay, we couldn't get any momentum. Ayush and Nicky batted well to get us to 166. But even if we would have got 240, they could have chased it as well," Rahul said after the match.

SRH captain Pat Cummins was also left stunned by his team's performance.

"On did he change the pitch) Maybe Travis and Abhishek did. We just let them go, they are two guys who are very positive and I'm a bowler, it is tough for me to give them any inputs. (On Travis Head) He's been like this for 2 years, he hits the tough areas, hits the middle a lot, might not be super conventional. (On Abhishek Sharma) Just an incredible player of spin and pace. With just 2 fielders out, it is really difficult for the bowlers against them. (On where the game is headed) I think the scores have gone up, and when the wickets are good, it is tough to come up with answers against batters when they get going. The boys have had a fantastic season, but to win this with less than 10 overs played is unreal," he said.

US Woman Made Son Say 'Goodbye To Daddy' On Camera Before Killing Him

In a tragic incident, a 32-year-old woman named Savannah Kriger from Texas instructed her 3-year-old son to bid farewell to his father while filming him shortly before she shot the child and then herself, according to The New York Post. The devastating event took place on March 19 at a park in San Antonio. Kriger and her son, Kaiden, were discovered dead with gunshot wounds to their heads.

Authorities have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder-suicide for several weeks. Prior to the incident, Kriger engaged in disturbing behaviour, including shooting at her wedding photos, vandalising her ex-husband's residence, and sending him threatening FaceTime videos and texts.

According to The NY Post, the sequence of events began when Kriger left work on the afternoon of March 18 and proceeded directly to her ex-husband's home while he was away at work. Following the damage inflicted at her ex-husband's residence, Kriger returned to her own home, where investigators later found her wedding attire and portraits arranged on the bed. According to Sheriff Javier Salazar of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, it is believed that Kriger discharged two rounds into her wedding portraits.

"You don't have anything to go home to now. You really don't," Kriger said on one FaceTime call. "You won't have anything at all at the end of the day."

The final text to her ex read, "Say goodbye to your son."

A 21-second video recovered from her phone showed Kriger and her son sitting in the ditch in the park, where their bodies would later be discovered.
